To help bolster a quick return to the Ulster Hockey Premier League, the club committee have started a search for potential candidates to take on the role of Men's 1st XI Coach.
Although recognising that it will be a difficult position to fill as there are only a small number of qualified coaches in Ulster hockey, new Club Chairman Andrew Baird said "The committee are keen to find someone with the right experience to support the Men's 1st XI get back to winning ways. The players have discussed the approach for the new season and the whole squad would like to have someone at training and at the side of the pitch on match days to direct tactics and identify where improvements can be made during the games. We also recognise the importance of helping with the ongoing development of our existing and new players, particularly with the younger members now breaking through into the senior squad."
Andrew continued "We know It won't be easy to find someone, but we've placed adverts with Ulster Hockey and have feelers out through all the players and our contacts in hockey circles. If anyone knows of any potential candidates just let any of the committee know or email me directly".
