After having to reschedule the original Captain's Day from August due to atrocious weather conditions, the Golf Society's Captain's Day was held eventually on Sunday 17th September in Bellewstown Golf Club.
Twenty-one very eager golfers braved the unpleasant weather on the day to make the trip.
The morning started out with promise, but the blue skies did not appear and unfortunately as the day progressed the weather got progressively worse. However, the damp conditions did not dampen the spirits of the Golf Society.
With the conditions the scoring was still very good
The Society Committee would like to thank everyone who attended, even with the poor conditions nobody pulled out and everyone had a memorable day. The society committee would like to thank Bellewstown Golf Club for the warm welcome received and for the use of their course and also to the caterers for the lovely food.
The Committee is potentially looking to hold one more event @Aramgh Golf Club on the 15th of October, but this will be weather permitting. We will be in touch with members closer to the time to confirm details.
We'd love to see as many members as possible join us for these trips. We'd also be delighted to welcome all new golfers, no matter what your ability. Please feel free to contact any of the golf society committee members for further details, or email us directly for further information.
