Premier League

Firsts well beaten at home by a strong Kilkeel side

Newry hosted Kilkeel on Friday night 3rd February in another tough game against a strong side.

In the first quarter Kilkeel dominated possession for long periods, but were struggling to break through a tough Newry defence. The home side were offering little in attack as the visitors snuffed out any chances and were quickly back on the attack.

Kilkeel got their first with a well worked passing move down their left for a simple tap in at the back post in the second quarter. They got their second just before half time to go in with a comfortable lead.

Newry tried to make more of a game of it in the second half, but their short corners and scoring chances did not amount to much.

Kilkeel got their third of the game with a short corner to put the match well and truly out of reach as they ran out deserved 3-0 winners.
