The start of something bright for the NOHC ladies...

6 October 2020

New coaches and players

The Ladies are delighted to welcome back coach Brian Lockhart and assistant coach Thomas Lockhart, who have been coaching the girls since October 2019. The turnout at training sessions has increased dramatically from 5 to 6 girls back in October to now a fantastic 30 to 40 girls on a weekly basis. On behalf of the ladies, we would like to thank Brian and Thomas for their dedication and hard work and are thrilled to announce that a Ladies 1st XI team has been entered into Senior 3 League.

We would also like to thank a number of the Men’s 1st XI players who have been helping Brian and Thomas with coaching the Ladies and they are: Richard McGivern, Jeremy Greer, Colin Henning, Andrew Baird & Johnny Gregg.

It is a pleasure to welcome the new Ladies goalkeeper, Katie McCullough, who has been working hard with the Men’s 1st XI goalkeeper, Richard McGivern in preparation for the league matches.

The ladies 1s had their first match away to Larne on Saturday 3rd October but unfortunately came away defeated by a strong Larne side who had dropped down from Senior 2.

The ladies 1s (Ages 15+) train on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm and the under 15s (11-14 years) train on Thursday evenings 6 - 7.30pm.
