What is TBUC?

  • ›Together Building a United Community.
  • ›It recognises the tensions that have existed across Northern Ireland as a result of the years on unrest and the TROUBLES.
  • ›It recognises that big Cultural and Political divides remain within our community.
  • ›It sees that many young people have little chance to meet with other young people from different traditions.
  • ›It aspires to create opportunities for young people form all over Northern Ireland to come together to learn about and from each other.
  • ›It aims to create understanding, tolerance perhaps even respect.

The Vision....

To build “a united community, based on equality of opportunity, the desirability of good relations and reconciliation – one which is strengthened by its diversity, where cultural expression is celebrated and embraced and where everyone can live, learn work and socialise together, free from hate and intolerance.”

Our Visions....

  • ›Living in a community where everyone feels welcome.
  • ›Everyone wanting to get along.
  • ›Everyone having the same chances.
  • ›Thinking it’s class that we are all different.
  • ›Enjoying each others special events and days.
  • ›Living, working and hanging out where ever we fancy.
  • ›Where no one can put you down for who or what you are.
