After the match in Raphoe on Saturday 13th November, Newry Olympic Men first XI coach Jonny Gregg, presented Tom Eaton with a silver salver in memory of the late Richard Eaton who passed away on 22nd September 2020.

Richard gave 45 years service to Raphoe Hockey Club as a player, coach and Chairman, and was known to many in Newry Olympic. A talented player, Richard represented Ireland at schoolboy level and was a regular top scorer for Raphoe.

The inscription on the salver read:

"Newry Olympic Hockey Club remember Richard (Dickie) Eaton

A talented competitor &

A great friend to all in Ulster Hockey

The gesture was greatly appreciated by the Eaton family and all in Raphoe Hockey Club.
