The new middle floodlights on the club Belfast Road grounds were officially commissioned on Tuesday 8th March, three weeks ahead of schedule.
Club Chairman, Brian Lockhart confirmed "The new LED floodlights on the two centre poles are now up and working. Huge thanks are due to Geoff Little from local firm Century Electrical Wholesale Ltd (CEW) and to electrician Adam McGreggor for doing an excellent job. Adam worked long hours to ensure the lights and switchgear were installed well ahead of schedule. The new state of the art LED lights are a massive improvement on the previous tungsten bulbs and will be cheaper to run."
Brian continued, "Our thanks also go to Sports NI for the funding for the upgrade of the floodlights. The club was awarded a grant of £25,000 under the "Building Better Sports Facilities" scheme to carry out the work."
"This is just the first phase of our planned floodlights upgrade. We'll be replacing all the lights on the remaining four poles when we have the funding available."
